53% of Scots would leave the UK, with 71% believing the country would fare better without being part of the UK

39% of people in Wales are now in favour of independence - the highest levels of support for Welsh independence ever recorded

43% of people in Northern Ireland would vote to unify with the Republic of Ireland, with 72% reasoning that the country is historically Irish

Couldn't it also be said that 71% are in favour of independence? I mean, believing Scotland will do better outside of the UK is literally independence

They could be soft ‘No’ voters with reservations to independence.

Which is why it will come down to the campaign trail to make it clear to these people... though I don't know why you'd vote in favour of something you clearly don't believe works, why vote to stay in the UK when you think Scotland would do better outside of it

Actually, I'm waiting for the moment when Canada, Australia and New Zealand will finally introduce position of President instead of having UK's Queen/King as their ruler. Monarchies are the relict of the past.

It could be the fact they need one reason to leave the UK. We need to show the soft ‘No’ voters the benefits of being an independent Scotland.

It's 53% support independence, of which 71% believe Scotland would do better outside the UK. The other 29% think Scotland might be no better off (or worse off) but support independence anyway. A strong mandate.

Probably people on the fence. I think when the campaign starts people will lean towards independence.
