It only got 2M views in the past 9 months so I think it’ll take a while to get the remaining 4M it needs :bradley:

ARTPOP Film is expected to reach 100M by April and the Broadcast Edit is expected to reach 100M by June according to kworb's stats

It's a 4 minute MV and with Nicki Minaj... :bear:

Thriller is probably the only long short film MV to actually have a lot of views anyway.

A bit off topic, but still:

Question for those smarter than me:

Why are Gaga's Born This Way era vids so low? Judas is approaching 380 million views, but BTW itself is only at 270 million or so. You and I, Edge of Glory and Marry the Night are woefully low compared to other hits during that time.

I started stanning during ARTPOP so I am not aware of any of the details. But I know she was gigantic during that era. Like everywhere. Why don't her views indicate that?

I'd say it's a combination between:

1. Long a** MVs - this is the most common excuse, but it doesn't really paint a full picture. TEOG, for instance, has no extra plot, while Last Friday Night by Katy Perry does, but the general trend of low views for BTW singles and huge views for TD ones continues;

2. Lack of longevivity - none of the BTW singles were organic hits and while people would check them out during their release and promo cycle simply because of Gaga's hype, they never really came back to them;

3. The hits were kind of local - at least compared to The Fame Monster era. YAI, for instance, is seen as a hit by this forum, which it was in the US, but the rest of the world doesn't know abkut it. The lead single was banned, censored or boycotted in many countries. So was Judas. TEOG was less popular than all her TFM singles sans LoveGame outside the US.

4. Most importantly, Gaga completly missed the YouTube "golden age of views". While she used to generate lots of views during her peak, having multiple videos in the top 15 most watched on the platform and even holding the #1 spot for a while, it wasn't until 2012-2013 that YT really took off. Hits released around that time and up until ~2016 (when Spotify became the dominant streaming platform) outperformed pre 2013 hits by a huge margin,regularly getting over 1 billion views, which was a pipe dream back then. This translated into Gaga having really low views across the board, even for her previously record setting TFM era videos.

That all makes so much sense! Thanks you so much for taking the time to answer me!!
