evgenigerm2 4,056 Posted February 17, 2021 Share Posted February 17, 2021 I have always wondered why Gaga's side profile looks so different in the scene shown below, especially having in mind what her face looked like back in 2009. I used to think it's just the makeup choice and how different this look was compared to what we used to see from her back then. But now that I took a closer look at it and compared it to other side profile photos of her, I feel like they edited her nose – it looks longer and the tip is smaller. I also think her forehead and lips/jawline look altered, but I might be wrong. I don't want this to be a hateful thread and in order to make it useful, here are two things I found out about the video today: Spoiler The music played at the beginning of the MV is Johann Sebastian Bach's Fugue No. 24 from WTC Book I BWV 869. See 5:20 – 5:51 at 2x speed: Spoiler Although supposedly being the same scene and with the same outfit, Gaga wears two different pairs of shoes for her white latex look. The angles and makeup of those 2 pictures do make it a bigger difference, like ally has no makeup / contour at all. You can see further up Ally's nostril because of the downward camera angle and it makes the tip of her nose look larger. Plus Ally is wrinkling her nose and preparing to speak/sing while BR Gaga is posing with a camera's-on-me face. They did an amazing job of diminishing Gaga's signature nose in the BR video. (even though I don't support that goal ) The huge Cruella drag makeup really changes her face. evgenigerm2 4,056 Posted February 17, 2021 Author Share Posted February 17, 2021 some of you guys really need to calm down. there's nothing wrong with the fact she might have had her nose edited post-production (i even said this is not a hateful thread and provided some side trivia) – after all, it's all a part of her vision + she has said that her silhouette was altered in shower scene to make her look more slender, so why not here too. i don't think it's just makeup and face tape, as it's definitely much longer and looks more straight and narrow. p.s. people saying it's her nose job (which typically has the intention to make the nose look more "perfect", not take away that feature) are a whole 'nother breed. „I allow myself to fail.
