I love this. I’m glad she’s getting these records back in a way. I also think her voice sounds stronger yet the same somehow. Like she didn’t really age. It’s also crazy, because she has evolved through all of this drama and **** in the music industry, so hearing her resing these songs as this person that she is now, and not who she was when she sung them...it’s interesting. Nostalgic and new at the same time.

On first listen it feels like there’s something off about it. Maybe she should’ve worked with a producer to get it just right. I don’t think I’ll listen to this version over the original.

I still can't get over it. She is such a force to be reckoned with in the industry. Nothing but admiration, not only for her talent, but for her dedication to making these powerful statements that assert her control over her career and pave the way for a music landscape where artists have ownership of their work and don't get trapped by shameless producers.
