Supersonic 49,376 Posted February 7, 2021 Share Posted February 7, 2021 14 senior citizens in a nursing home in Belm, Germany have contracted the British Covid-19 mutation, despite being fully immunized against the virus. The inhabitants received their second immunizing shot of the Pfizer/Biontech vaccine on January 25th, they tested positive for the British Covid mutation on February 2nd. Doctors so far have remarked, that all of the patients are experiencing mild symptoms. It was expected, however such a big outbreak probably means that while the vaccine causes the disease to be milder overall, they Pfizer one in fact could be significantly less effective against at least one of the more prominent mutations. Which was a point that up for debate. Thankfully, if the next studies prove this anecdotal evidence, Pfizer and Biontech (and Moderna as well) can change up their vaccine quickly because of the mRNA technology it's based on. Please stop fear mongering. Where's the fear mongering? We did not KNOW this, we expected it and speculated about it because of educated guesses. NOW we know and have evidence of this happening.
