it's always a battle between chromatica and btw for me but i think it's overall impact and message is what makes btw better

hard to even fathom which parts you should believe

It is, and it has not been topped artistically. It had such a clear vision, brilliant writing, experimental aspects, amazing visuals, and a perfect take on 80s-esque power anthems.

It’s always been my personal favorite Gaga album , but chromatica is kinda coming for that title.
But I think her absolute best album is the The Fame Monster outside of my personal connection to born this way and chromatica

does that even make sense ?

It's brimming with brilliance. Five amazing singles. With a couple of exceptions, a set of super solid album tracks. All the chaos harmonized into a very good narrative!

Fully agree. She really went hard with these two albums.

The Fame and The Fame Monster have more of her biggest hits, but as a whole album, full album, Born This Way is definitely her best album.

I even have a draft in my phone's notes with reasons, for a topic I still have to make :hor:

The idea behid it, the lyrics, the production (even if it's not her best), her passion, even the era with all the music videos, photoshoots, fashion, concerts, the tour, the promo. I think it was her peak.

Yes!!! It's definitely her best. A bit messy and chaotic, all over the place sometimes, rough, glamorous, rock vibes, dark aesthetics but beautiful messages. It's the definition of Gaga.

Some people may say TFM is her best, and I don't agree but I can see why they say this. TFM is the album that put Gaga everywhere, and the songs in it are the ones most people know Gaga for. But, in my opinion, what makes BTW better is that it's risky. See, after TFM, people were expecting Gaga's sophomore album and something that was GP friendly, but Gaga saw an opportunity to make an impact, to make statements, to help others through music, and she did it even though she knew she could get some backlash. And it had some consequences for her career, and she didn't care. BTW is her best album because she had something to say, and she said it when the whole world was listening, and she didn't care about whether people was comfortable hearing those thing or not.

This.

BTW is the album I identify her the most with. It’s heavy, it’s rebellious, it’s experimental in all the perfect places, and it’s also commercial enough as a piece of work to spawn multiple successful singles. The messages in the album are classic Gaga, the the music videos show Gaga at her peak. Everything about the era, including the theatrics that are sonically there (as opposed to TF/TFM, where she relied heavily on the vessel of the music to portrayed her image) is perfect.

This.

Even though TFM Is my favorite album, BTW is Gaga being Gaga at her best. She was the happiest during this era and poured her soul into it.

I don't know why but I've kind of fallen out of love with a lot of the BTW songs. I used to be 100% obsessed with the entire album back in 2011, but listening back now I don't feel the same way. There are definitely some timeless songs, ie. Judas, Black Jesus, Government Hooker, TEOG, Scheiße & Bloody Mary.

For me: until Chromatica. Chromatica surpasses Born This Way as my favorite album so I view it as her best. I realized it happened a couple months ago.
