Economy 50,004
https://www.google.ca/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5896018 CBC news is giving AARP magazine as their source. I dont know much about them so i dont know how reliable they tend to be But at least according to them Tony is getting increasibly rarer moments of clarity which suggests the desiese has possibly already advanced well past the early stages According to the source however he is still capable of practicing with his pianist and can still carry a tune very well ------------------------ Edit: I guess its acurate and reliable considering Tony thanked Aarp for telling his story https://mobile.twitter.com/itstonybennett/status/1356232201810157568?ref_src=twsrc^google|twcamp^serp|twgr^tweet

Sometimes all she could do was softly sing to herself.

There's a ton of videos online of dementia and Alzheimers patients who are totally gone but remember the steps or words to their favorite songs and it snaps them back for a moment. It's super sad. Chic 20,830
Music is a deeply personal thing to many people. So deep is it, in fact, that after years of performing, it will be locked into muscle memory and areas of the brain that retain other long term memories. It’s instinctive, and even if many other areas of the brain are affected by this disease, these kind of memories, muscle and mental, still exist. He may not remember specific memories but what he can feel through music - you don’t tend to forget that. Even with some of the worst cases of Alzheimer’s this can be seen. He might not have the foggiest idea about whole years of his life but he could sing a song he learned during one of those years without flaw. It’s crazy.
