Marilyn Manson Dropped by Record Label, CAA, ‘American Gods’, ‘Creepshow’

I have been a fan for a while but I saw rumors about this and ERW testifying without naming him last year on Twitter.  I pretty much stopped listening to his music after I saw that but he was already my 4th most listened artist of the year. It really sucks and I feel terrible for all the women coming forward, especially her. 

But I also I hope this makes people drop their prices for his vinyls from the 90's, specifically Mechanical Animals, Holy Wood, and Golden Age of Grotesque, on resale sites cuz I still really want them  And he ain't getting money for that anyway.

Im not going to disagree with u, he's a monster always will be, but his songs always been part of my life as a child, teen, young adult and I love them, I can separate and forget him while I listen to it, for me it works, I also avoid giving him streams with different tactics

Literally tons of people do it every day. Addicts walk among us and are hiding the signs until they finally fall apart.

Hollywood talent agency CAA also dropped him. Manson was represented for years by CAA, the agency also represents Wood.

If anyone disagrees/isn't convinced that Manson is a disgusting person, there's plenty of forums & imageboards out there with proof and sources on them.

I'm upset that it took this long but I'm glad he's finally being outed as the pig he is.

It doesn’t matter what proof there is, there could be straight up videos of it happening, with plenty of people corroborating it and it still wouldn’t mean anything because people are such massive misogynists. Like 1% of rapists get convicted. Justice is rare in cases like this.

I don't disagree with the decision but it needs to apply to everyone not just people who aren't cookie cutter pretty. I with with all honesty feel like he is being punished because of who he is rather than what he did. I wish everyone was punished this way not just him.

Exactly what I was thinking. I suppose because Chris is young, attractive, very commercially successful and was a very relevant at the time, his label didn't want to give up on a good thing. Manson, on the other hand, is 52, weird looking, was never a hit-maker and hasn't been relevant in years. At this point, he's expendable to money-hungry record executives. Sad that this is how they decide things. Agreed, it should be one rule for everyone.

It's a bit different when it's this many women coming forward, though. When you've been accused by just one person, yeah, that's definitely something that needs examining by the courts and you can't jump to conclusions immediately. For celebrities, it's also very suspicious when everyone making the claims is hiding behind Twitter handles with no photos. But these women are using their real names (all but one is going by their full names) and have photos of themselves. And there's a lot coming forward from all over the place and they don't seem to know each other. That many people can't be lying. When Amber Heard accused Johnny Depp of hitting her, she was literally the only one who had ever made these claims and no one else could verify them. And all his ex partners came out and said he'd never hit them. But with Manson, this is multiple women making these claims and Rose McGowan is the only one who's said he didn't treat her badly. That suggests that his pattern was very clear and she was the one exception.
