If you look at previous posts I am against minor offences being denied the vote. I am talking about murder,rapists, p@edos, terrorists being denied the vote

But where is the line there? You say that you don't want people that harm other people to be able to vote, but as I've said, there are more dangerous people outside of jails than inside, and the differentiation of convicted people based on the "harm" they did so they can be able to vote is a very obvious slippery slope that can eventually be used to justify other kinds of voter supression.

And that is up to the individual country on how to arrest them etc. A lot of countries still have it illegal for prisoners to vote and voter suppression has not occurred

Well, I don't agree with it at all. Jail is there to reform, not to punish. That was the goal of it all at the beginning and we quickly forgot about it. You should be assisted to re-enter society in a different form, and that involves taking part in your civic duties.

Some people are beyond redemption - murderers etc and they should be punished. I don’t think they should be allowed back to society, stripped all human rights

I don't agree at all with that and I feel like if we disagree on where human rights should be applied, then we'll disagree on about everything else.

So, every prisoner = a murderer? If you say so, old lady, but keep in mind, some people are in prison for tax evasion or, let’s say, the weed possession. Let’s strip em of their rights too? Pff foutta here

I will ask you this. See somebody in the middle of New York brought a gun and killed an innocent 21 people, all lost their human rights and their right to vote. How do you think the families feel this person who killed their family member is living the life of luxury and every now and again get their voice heard. How is that justice? I am not advocating for the death penalty heavily against it but I am not into treating murders  - you’ve been a bad boy and more or less get a slap on the wrist for what they did. How is that justice? That person should be stored away in a jail cell and given very little food and water, that is all what they deserve

Good to unify families and not deport parents who have kids born in the US soil, it's horrible u gotta grant them citizenship in my opinion or a visa. As for the others, if you dont come legally you should be deported in my opinion, that's just the law in any country, it shouldn't be easier for u to get the citizenship if you didn't even make sure u are legal
