Couple in Canada fined after the woman was "walking" her husband on a leash

A couple in Canada have been fined for breaking Covid curfew rules after the woman was caught "walking" her husband on a leash, according to local media.

On Saturday the province imposed a nightly curfew between 20:00 and 05:00. Walking a dog close to home is one of the only acceptable reasons to be outside between those times.

Residents of Quebec are allowed to walk their dogs after curfew, but not their husbands.

There is a lockdown in that province where you can't be outside after 8pm, with one of the only exceptions being to walk your dog. So this couple broke curfew and went out for a walk together but the wife clipped her husband to a leash and tried to use that as an excuse when they were caught. Just people being stupid as usual

This exception is not meant for the owners, but for the dogs themselves. Many dogs need to go for a walk once a day, maybe more. They don't have the self-control humans do, so it's reasonable to ease the COVID restrictions in their interest.
