The events, organized by an gay event manager from Southern California, have been HEAVILY criticized, as Puerto Vallarta's hospitals are at 100% capacity with Covid-19 patients, 65% of all Covid-19 tests done in the county are positive. Shangela has also tried to profit off the pandemic, by selling handsanitizes branded as "Shanitizer" and announced a few weeks ago that her grandmother got infected with Covid-19. I'm not sure I think it's fair saying she was trying to make money from the pandemic by selling hand sanitizer. The term Covid party has generally been used for ppl attending parties whose purpose is intentionally to spread Covid.
