Super Smash Bros. Ultimate [HELP ME learn please!]

Smash ultimate was the first proper video game i've ever played and it made me get a switch and get into video games in general. I found the controls to be very beginner friendly so i think your problem is playing with a single joycon, i can never play well with one. Also, the joystick on the right joycon is very useful for smash attacking. I recommend you first go into training mode, play with every character and try out all their moves, to see what feels the most comfortable to you (it also helps you know what each character does and what to expect when you're fighting them)

Then, play through adventure mode (world of light) on very easy mode because it gives you unlimited tries to win each spirit and this helps you develop tactics and learn each smash character's strength and weaknesses while fighting them.

This should help you get ready to play regular matches!

The last Super Smash Bros I was good at was for the GameCube

I LOVED that! The Melee one?

I'm considering getting Ultimate for the Switch but I'm not a hardcore gamer so paying £60 is a bit :green: for me

Super Smash Bros. Melee, YES!! :bradley::tony:

Honestly, Melee, is so perfect in my opinion I feel like there’s too much going on in Brawl sometimes. But yes, Nintendo Switch in general isn’t cheap to come by, we got ours for about $500 3 years ago with Mario Kart.

edit: OMG, I meant Ultimate instead of Brawl but imma leave it :ally:

I wish they remade Melee for the Switch :neyde: I'd get Ultimate if it was cheaper though. I only have 3 games so far lol

TEETHTEETH

Every character is a little different and the only way to learn is just practice and try new combo moves.

I can relate. I used to play Smash Bros all the time when it first came out on the wii and I was good at it! Now, I'm almost 30 as well and SUCK at Smash Bros Ultimate on the switch :cryga: I first played it last year with some new friends I had just made and I came in last place every single time. Now they don't invite me over to play anymore :bradley:
