granted, most of the people putting money towards this are grown adults who made the money themselves. most children and teenagers yanno... don't make their own money

The fact that these are grown adults does not make this any better or less embarrassing. And it’s no shade to BTS or Kpop. I would be equally embarrassed if these were Gaga fans in their 20s/30s doing this for her. Sure, it’s their money, but it really shows where are priorities are as a society. Directed at any American fans doing this, of course. I can’t talk about South Korean/other Asian fan bases.

my point is that you cannot be embarrased about what people spend their hard earned money on. that's their business. everyday citizens do not have some kind of responsibility to prevent social injustice, no matter what odd, backwards ideas of duty we perpetuate, and whilst it's great and really admirable to donate to charity or help others with their money, you can't shame people for spending their own money on what they want.

I cannot believe hundreds of thousands of dollars are being raised for a birthday banner for a rich person in the current state of the world I-

I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin.

This is so ridiculous omfg. Imagine spending all that money and resources on... this :bear:

If only people (super rich and powerful people since when ur rich ur powerful and we as little common boring people we cant make money moves to change the world drastically) decided to come together and help stop famine or help certain countries to build hospitals, schools, I mean sadly so many things you can try to stop especially famine and hunger. Only a few have these ideas, like Paul Walker starting a very small charity to help countries hit with a natural disaster, and be really efficient in it unlike Unicef who are such a huge organization that they can take weeks to come in the territory to help people. There are so many innovative ideas u can do, but these people they send cars in space, or advertisements, wasting money left and right for something soooo stupid so useless and dumb I just can't. And we got homeless people bringing abandoned animals in shelters, no money no power and it's always those who deserve the money or maybe the money and power changes you, and makes you greedy and ugly inside, i dont know
