I laugh at these white girls who want to look spicy, sound spicy when I was made fun of my whole childhood for being me. Now everyone wants to be me. They dye their hair black, tan their skin olive to brown, surgically add curves to their bodies, fake their heritage, I just laugh at this circus

That's a pretty extended thought here in Spain, too. I mean, most Spanish people think that Americans believe Spain is a South American country, that we eat tacos and wear those typical Mexican sombreros.

Considering that she was pretending to be Spanish on television for people to see, she wanted viewers to buy into her being Spanish presumably for her own personal gain because it made her seem more appealing or interesting. Maybe she would get a sponsorship or deal out of it.

She's not the first white person, nor will she be the last to try to appropriate a culture/identity that isn't theirs for their own personal gain. Into the basura you go, Hilaria.

Exactly! Spain colonized South America, enslaved lots of indigenous and black people and americans still don't know that Spain (and Portugal) is in Europe. American concept of what's white is pretty crazy to me. To me anglo-saxonic americans aren't white, to me they're gringos.
