I think it depends on the airline and where you travel to as well. I mean, some countries and airlines require Covid tests before you go in and some even test on arrival. Travel has actually contributed to an extremely low amount of cases of Covid in Ontario. Not sure about the world but for Ontario, I dont think the people travelling are the main source of Covid.

In terms of Covid transmissions themselves it's not travel that's gonna make a huge difference in numbers once you have community spread in your country unless the travellers are coming from a country with significantly higher proportion of infected individuals. If not the chances of them spreading covid aren't any higher than a local

But where travel matters more is with stuff like variants from mutations being introduced as we're seeing

I do agree that because of this new strains we don't have much knowledge on yet, we should impose stricter travel conditions going forward for the time being. So far though travel hasn't contributed to many cases but yes, it could change unfortunately

as bad as it sounds, its almost inevitable that everyone will get Covid at some point... there truly is no stopping it now. It will be as common as a stomach virus likely. As of now, people are just prolonging the wait until they get it

Yes but folks such as ourselves are not getting them until late Spring/early Summer when they're available for the general public. There's a hierarchy of who gets it and when they get it. Unless you're a frontline worker, in education, an elected official, or extremely ill in the hospital you're not getting it anytime soon.

Yes but it is hardly ‘inevitable’ that everyone gets Covid when there are countries that significantly slowed or completely halted the spread, and eventually people will be protected by the vaccine.

Writing off the people who will die if they get Covid as an inevitability because you’re bored or “sick of it” is defeatist, lazy, and demented.

That defeatist, lazy and demented attitude sounds like something the user you're referring to needs to work on then.
