Lion Heart 15,041
Anthony Fantano has released his Top 50 Albums of 2020. Topping the list is Jessie Ware. The list also includes Rina Sawayama, Charli XCX, Chloe x Hale, HAIM, and more. Thoughts? ▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀

A D A M 536
Congrats Jessie! I swear a lot of people literally didn't even check that album because I don't know how there was so little buzz about it during 2020. What's Your Pleasure? is banger after banger album and I'm glad it's getting some recognition.

Chromatica 7,031
That's great! I love this album. The title track is one of my favorites of the entire year. I also like seeing King Krule and SAWAYAMA here. I'm a fan of Poppy but I'm shocked to see this album here. I like her metal songs, but I didn't love I Disagree. It's interesting to see her start appearing in more legitimate categories like the Grammys and some album of the year lists. I haven't gotten into the HAIM, Perfume Genius and Chole x Halle albums yet but I will keep trying. I didn't know Meridian Brothers had a new album out. I love their song UFO. I'm gonna go listen now.
moonsago 7,285
Honestly, that album is a classic. The moment I listened to it I knew it would be one of those albums I will listen to forever. Which is a rare thing for me. And even though I knew of her and of some of her songs, I was never a fan but I will for sure check out her future projects cause this... was a masterpiece. Most of the times I find his opinions relatively unbiased, even if he obviously has his own personal taste. He has been extremely supportive of female artists like Charli XCX (who he has been fangirling for years now), Lana del Rey (ever since NFR, which he loved), Rina Sawayama and obviously Jessie Ware, recognising her album as the best from 2020. He is not one to hold “grudges” about an artist. He was very trashy about Born This Way, I’ll give you that, but he has reviewed Gaga’s albums fairly ever since. If you do a good job, he acknowledges. (Miley Cyrus & her Dead Petz is an incredibly polarizing album with a lot of negative reviews, it’s not like his 0/10 is completely unjustified)

He gives people a fair shot. Hell, he gave Joanne a fairer shot than half of her fans and a lot of critics lol his main thing was “i wish she committed to the genre shift more and it was seemingly more than aesthetic.” Seems pretty fair to me.
