No, the OP is the opposite of that. If you read through the replies you'd see that they're riddled with criticism (both fair and unfair). One user even went as far as to say they wished Gaga didn't release Chromatica this year :spin:

Imagine being Gaga and reading that from one of your "fans".

I'm ok with valid criticism, it's just that it attracts too much negativity and then we see bullѕhit like this that comes along with it.

If you're okay with valid criticism, then the conversation is done. I have stated repeatedly that blatant negativity and hatred should be done away with. I have repeatedly talked about how we should be fair with Gaga, but also fair with our criticisms and acknowledge the fact that many of them are valid, and that's okay.

I also don't know what you're talking about in regards with the OP...The OP essentially states we need to "leave Gaga alone" regarding criticism.

They don't know what a good album sounds like then :triggered:   Chromatica is too good an album for people to say "it shouldn't have been released"

It literally made this utterly ѕhitty year better for me. The album's a damn anti-depressant :madge:

In what thread? The HL one? The Oreo one? I never made rude comments about Gaga.

Maybe that’s what you think is “playful” and “fun”, but personally I don’t think it’s funny to joke about Gaga being lazy. It’s actually very mean considering what she goes through on a daily basis, and the fact that she’s one of the hardest working artists.

Same honestly... between Chromatica and Naruto (which I've watched 7 times now), it really helped make this year tolerable. I just wish there was more of it because the feeling of joy that I got from listening to Chromatica for months was only temporary. And I can feel myself slipping into the dark again :madge:

Sorry, but I have to laugh :ladyhaha:

Like, how low is your "mean and rude" threshold? Like, do you get offended by ANYTHING but praise? Because that's what it sounds like, and that'll never happen.

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

They come off negative anyway, sure, but the keyword there is "anyway." Both sides can be equally annoying to deal with.

People appreciate and are considerate around the effort being up in. The problem is, there doesn't seem to be much effort (from what we've seen). I completely acknowledge that as of this moment we don't know what's going on behind the scenes. They probably are doing a lot right now, but it's really the silence and "not knowing" which is frustrating. Even if it wasn't Chromatica related, a selfie of Gaga every other day would suffice for most people.

Criticizing also isn't "basically pointless" when there are other artists out there who have adapted to COVID times and have shown that they can do just as much promo as they did before the pandemic hit. Gaga has a couple of movies coming up, so that could absolutely be taking up her time, but in that case, they should acknowledge that. At least then we know that we shouldn't be getting Chromatica stuff because she's busy with other projects.

Which is basically assuming and again lacks understanding. She took a 3 week break. If we look back at the era she went quiet for a while and then came back again. It’s poor judgement and in a way you’re saying she doesn’t deserve 3 weeks ‘off’.

About the promotion comparison. That’s an argument that’s often brought up. I am going to sounds like an arrogant Monster here but from what I have gathered is that Gaga is a perfectionist and doesn’t want to settle for less. The way she approached the 911 video is plenty of proof for that. Also, I feel like Gaga is generally more concerned about the pandemic as opposed to other artists. Since the day lockdown started she spread awareness, her mask speech and everything implies that. I think she wants to give extra good quality instead of mediocre quantity if that makes sense because it requires her to leave the house and break any rules less.

You said "Well, this thread is literally #1 on trending and it's the opposite of "criticizing" her" and I was just pointing out that the OP of this thread is the opposite of criticizing her, whereas the whole thread is full of criticism.

I agree with the rest of your post though.

I was talking about the OP itself, not the rest of the thread. I see where you're at though.

I said I wish she didn't because it seems she doesn't want to promote it that much and it seems as if she has better things to deal with, plus fans are disappointed. Blast off ig. :spin:

No, I wasn’t offended. I do think it’s mean to call Gaga lazy as I see many fans do, for the reasons I already stated.

I never said Chromatica isn't good. I love the album. But lord, so much has been ****ed up this year and you cannot deny it is disappointing. On the other hand, it did help people get through tough things, so I can't complain much there.

I know, and I never call her "lazy" anyway, but what that person wrote was literally a harmless joke. She WAS laying down and eating oreos in the video :laughga:

I guess the issue is that there shouldn't be a "comeback" at all...Maybe after the first couple of times when she was putting COVID and BLM first, then I could understand her wanting to take a step back from that. However, we're now months into both of those issues. It's weird that for this era we basically only big bursts of Chromatica-related stuff, and then absolutely nothing, and then more bursts, and then nothing, etc., etc., etc.

I just don't think that strategy works. Sure, during the time, we all get high off of things like the VMA performance and the 911 music video because she had a lot of content then, but after that, we get absolutely nothing which is weird.

I also think the "perfectionist" angle really only works when she does release something. We know Gaga's a perfectionist, and that's absolutely fine, but to the point where she just doesn't release anything? I just don't buy that...I do agree though that Gaga does seem generally more concerned with the pandemic than other artists.

I think it’s an exclusive pandemic thing because we all know if it wasn’t for all the circumstances this era would have been very eventful.
