AgentPOP 111
not a lot of competition, maybe if Bruno releases a new album, or The Weeknd... he got his a$$ kissed by the academy's CEO... or Rita Ora?
AVeryGagaHolyDick 22,944
They would give AOTY to Peppa Pig over Gaga 8
Cameltoe Chariot 14,991
I truly think it's gonna be her moment. This album and entire era feels very special.
elegidadedios 1,054
Next year's Grammys will be full of her... I can already tell. Abracadabra will end the year being at least a top 10 hit (likely) and a +1B song on Spotify (I know I'm not reaching there). MAYHEM is headed to be a defining album in her career in terms of production, lyricism and creativity, and it already includes a Grammy winning song (DWAS). A beautiful way to end the MAYHEM era and stop caring about music releases for the next 10 years LMAOOO kidding But she will absolutely slay 1
LateToCult 40,468
Nope. To win AOTY you need an overwhelming amount of critical acclaim or very high sales that signal to voters that it’s the album that people like. Often times both. It needs to be a moment in music (with only a handful of exceptions that have been made for smaller artists). Far too early to tell if Mayhem will be one of those moments. You're right on saying it's too early to say she will get that, but tbh... Don't you see Mayhem getting all those critical acclaim reviews, high sales and so on? The album is not out yet and it already sold +500k bc of the singles, which all of them got very good critics in general... A total win for me! Government 145
No. She didn’t even win a major category with DWAS this year.
jacs vs looser 4,139
Gaga hasn't won a single general field category. Ever. Not even this year, having the No.1 song globally and in the US in collaboration with Bruno Mars who hadn't lost a single Grammy nomination in 14 years. For whatever reason she simply doesn't have the pull when it comes to general fields, so the answer is: no.

I feel it’ll be like Chromatica in terms of critical reception. Some will love it straight up whereas the judgier ones will have this weird reflex that is recycling her old sound and look (but then say she’s missing that when she produces something different). Eh, I think it’s still way to early to say if the album will be a commercial smash or a critically acclaimed body of work (critically acclaimed, not positively recieved). She should have been the favorite for Shallow and DWAS (and a Bruno rarely loses in the GF) yet both times lost to rapper who rarely win. She is obviously respected but not to the extent of Billie or Beyonce. She certainly won't win with a dance album. It would have to be a Ray Of Light type of album with similar success and acclaim to even have a chance.
MOT 2,822
We haven't heard the album yet, so we don't know how good it is. Today is only the 15th of February, so we have no idea what the opposition will be like. A lock to win ? That would be a no.
TheMontebello 188
I wish but I doubt it. Critics are always much harder on her and it sucks. Meanwhile, some girlies have released mediocre works and been acclaimed. You like the fat girl I got in me 🍕
