That's a very small subsect of people. Many people have valid criticisms of the era. Of course there are people who take thing too far and just end up insulting Gaga, but that's not what the majority of people are saying.

Or how there is never a thread actually appreciating Gaga anymore and the ones that are are bombarded with LMAO’s and annoying ‘criticism’?

Most of these things are fairly standard for Gaga:

#1 album — Obviously that's great. There's no denying that.

Top 5 lead — I mean, this was kinda expected. Still great, but for Gaga's pop comeback, it'd be a shame if it were lower  It's also not like SL did anything more than that. It had a great debut, but no longevity.

#1 Collab — Yeah, that's great. Again, no denying that.

VMA comeback — In a normal era, this would just be another performance. There would be no need for a "comeback."

Critically Accalaimed 911 Music Video — Again, that's great, but it's not anything out of the ordinary for Gaga. Most of her videos are great.

Return of Professional Directors — Uh, cool?  

Gaga's return to Electronic music — Probably the biggest thing on this list. It's nice to see her returning to her roots.

Looks — This should be a basic thing we get from Gaga. While Chromatica has amazing visuals, there could've been more. Other artists have done many other photoshoots within COVID times. She honestly could too. I'd just like to see more visuals for Chromatica.

Together at Home Special — While great, it's not Chromatica related.

I agree this topic is being made too often. I think its a mixture of Gaga being silent, and also lockdown during covid-19 (which has it's own sets of troubles) which is causing this. If Gaga gave us something, people would be less frustrated. I mean, most of us here are Gaga fans. 

There is only so much you can do over lockdown. Seeing other artists do their job and provide content for their fans, it really does make you more and more frustrated. Like why can't Gaga hop on YouTube or Instagram and give us a small acoustic performance of Sine From Above or something? Being frustrated, bored, anxious, annoyed... even angry... I think a lot of people on here are feeling these things. Its not nice coming on GGD seeing a lot of negativity, but I don't think the criticism isn't warranted. People do take it too far though. But it shouldn't be too much to ask for a bit more from our fave.

In regards to HL, I do think that in particular gets a lot of hate. I agree with you there.

In regards to the Oreo thread, I saw most of those comments as playful and fun. I don't know if anything more happened in that thread, but a lot of people were just memeing the whole thing. I didn't take their "criticism" seriously. I've also never really heard people talk about her book. It's just sort of like, "Yeah, okay, that's cool." 

I disagree that there are never any threads "actually appreciating Gaga anymore." There are a ton of threads that still do that. They just aren't as popular as these types of threads because these types of threads are inherently argumentative.

They weren’t playful and fun it was all being annoying about her abandoning the album and ‘selling out’. Again, mods had to literally warn us to polite, like that isn’t a given anymore.

Don’t you think in a way it’s messed up and bad that on a site dedicated to Gaga the most popular threads are the ones ‘criticizing’ her?

If LMAO’s to anything appreciating Gaga, shady gifs and Stan Twitter memes and people pretending like they are managers and writing bullshit paragraphs is ‘criticism’, then is it so weird that people want to get rid of it? Especially when it’s starting to take the site over?
