THANK YOU SUPREME COURT!

Yall do not know how nervous I was about tonight's decision. I actually read through the lawsuits presented by Trump, the Ohio AG, and others and thought they posed some interesting questions. I am so glad Mango Mussoluni has been nearly defeated once and for all. All we have to do is wait for the EC to vote this Monday.

I mean did y'all really think that just because Trump elected Supreme Court justices they'll do his bidding? He holds absolutely 0 power over them unlike the legislature branch. He was merely a stepping stone in their careers.

If you don't mind me asking, could you give some examples?

Basically the Ohio AG filed his own lawsuit separate from the TX case (+17 other states) asking the Supreme Court to clarify the role that the Legislature has when selecting electors for the Electoral College. Basically in the Constitution, Article II Section 1 states that "Each State shall appoint, in such Manner as the Legislature thereof may direct, a Number of Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to which the State may be entitled in the Congress.." and the AG was asking if the Secretaries of States that made changes to the voting process due to covid were legally allowed to bypass "the Legislature" when they did that. If those actions were unconstitutional, then that would have spelled chaos all over the country where the Governors and or Sec of States made changes such as extending the ballot counting days and making it easier to vote by mail.

Thats different from what TX was demanding. Texas asked the Supreme Court to invalidate or decertify the results of MI, PA, GA, and WI and asking them to allow those states to send an alternate slate of electors (Republicans) to vote for Trump in the EC. 17 other AGs also signed off to this. They basically wanted to bypass the will of the people because their side lost, which is insane.

True. I guess that’s one of the only good reason Supreme Court justices are for life.

They won’t have enough taxes to collect and fund that Republican country. Collectively blue states have more tax revenue than red states. If I’m not mistaken. :teehee:
