Do you guys too feel betrayed and/or lost? (Gaga related)

First, Thanks for sharing your thoughts so eloquently and without dragging Gaga through the pits of hell.

I don't feel betrayed by her because she has not done anything personally to hurt me  But I do understand where you are coming from. I certainly miss the days of social 'interaction' between LG and the LMs, even if I found her overtly motherly persona a bit cringe. I hope she and the Haus really hit re-set with this album in 2021 and give it the spotlight it deserves, even if it means a re-release.

This. I agree with everything the OP says, I feel like she doesn’t have the same fire inside, as if she isn’t the same person anymore. I know we all change in life and we are not same as who we were 10 years ago but in Gaga’s case, it’s a drastic change from what the fans were used to, personality wise.

Some of you mentioned her mental health and I think she has a lot of unresolved traumas and need some time to heal. In my opinion, she should take a long break from music, start a family and focus on other stuff aka acting career.

No. Is it boring right now? Sure. Is it frustrating? Yeah. But should I feel betrayed? No. I've got my life to get on with at the end of the day, and that's more important than being a Gaga fan

Trying not to seem entitled here but from an entertainment point of view I guess I'm disappointed, considering other artists with new albums out like The Weeknd and Miley are doing loads of great content consistently.

It's just a bit of a sad waste. 

All in all I really don't mind much because I'm not as fond of Chromatica as I was with BTW and ARTPOP, but as an artist myself I struggle to understand the seemingly lack of enthusiasm with this recent body of work, when in the past she lived, breathed and thrived through her art like most artists do.

yall keep forgetting that we are in the middle of a pandemic and there’s no possible way gaga can keep promo consistent till july 2021, let alone do any live promo or anything that will break social distancing rules 

shes given us an album like we asked. she hasn’t betrayed us.

This is 100% true, I was talking with Lady Gaga Now on DMs and even they said that she's most likely not as active because of how mean some fans and social media is in general, I mean we allways hear from Gaga about how social media is the toilet of the internet so she most likely saw all the mean stuff which made her be a bit more distant from it (to be honest she needs to stay away from it and from all the pressure, her reading shitty stuff might trigger her fibro). I'm pretty sure she wants her life and music related stuff to be private. Let's be real, this is why she's not as active, It's no secret since this fanbase pretty much bullied her haus members, they most likely told her.

I don't feel betrayed personally, but I feel she betrayed herself and her body of work.

There is no excuse, look at Miley Cyrus, Taylor Swift, Dua Lipa, they are all going through pandemic right? Not to mention Katy Perry who was 8m pregnant while serving her era 

Chromatica had such a potential and I never expected she will care less about art she gave birth to. 

I can just feel disappointed and like in a paralel universe.

Betrayal sounds a little dramatic, but I do think we've been robbed of what could have been an amazing era, partly by COVID-19 and partly by a lack of effort on Gaga's part.

I think it's logical to feel this way at this point even though I think it's a bit too dramatic to use the word "betrayed" since Gaga didn't promise anything this era. Like I said in previous threads, maybe she had some stuff for us that needed to be done in a different way but due to the pandemic, they just couldn't be done the way she wanted them to done.

That being said, it's just hard to ignore how lazy and inactive she is when it comes to her music. I'd give her a break and say she's not into promoting stuff now but she's promoting the makeup line almost on daily basis.

I feel like there's so much happening behind the scenes in Gaga's life, so much we don't know. Obviously I want the best for Gaga, her mental health and everything. For her to be as happy as possible, to relax and do what she wants. She gave an entire generation a voice and I'll always love her. Between the pressure she's under, her fibro, amongst I'm sure a miriad of stuff I know she has a lot to handle.

That said, I expect nothing from this era lol. If we get something great! If not then it is what it is. I'm not meaning to undercut or insult Gaga by underestimating her, but I could see Gaga being radio silent until she hypes the Chromatica Tour and then closes the era. 

For whatever reason she just doesn't seem like she's in the mindset to talk about the era. That's fine. I guess HL and oreos will have to tide me over until her next era/moment.
