Gucci will have a usual SCORE, but not a soundtrack. Besides, Gaga doesn’t need to write a song for every ****ing movie she’s in. Let’s let her become an actress that’s independent of her music career.

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, a mystery crime thriller, got a cover of Immigrant Song by Karen O just for the film, and the rest of the soundtrack is by Trent Reznor

But that also wasn't a real-life tragedy. It'd kinda be weird for Gaga to write a song (and probably perform it as well) about a real-life murder about one of the most famous families in fashion. 

I think Gaga could potentially help with the score, but I wouldn't expect, nor would I want a song/soundtrack for this movie.

I don’t think Gaga will do a whole soundtrack at all, only perhaps the main song/opening song. I kind of don’t want it so it doesn’t create a pattern/expectation for her future films (as much as I’d want new music) but also Shallow was a global phenomenon so I can see studios wanting to replicate it. I do want a whole soundtrack for the film though, if curated well it could be an AOTY

It’ll be even more amazing if she does the score instead of writing songs. That way she can prove her versatility even more  Imagine a dark and dramatic score

not saying I expect a Gucci soundtrack by Gaga, but there will be a soundtrack. Exciting with this casting, he was great in Watchmen. 

No one is saying the movie will have no soundtrack  just that it seems unlikely that Gaga will work on it/be involved.

From a business perspective, sure, I could see them wanting to do another soundtrack, but I think Gaga's self-aware enough to know that her music shouldn't define her acting career. 

Also though, ASIB required a main song/sountrack because of the nature of the film. Nothing in Gucci points to that. If they wanted to do a song, it'd have nothing to do with the movie from a creative perspective, and I think Gaga wouldn't really approve of that. 

The most I could see Gaga doing is potentially a little song at the very beginning or during the credits.

I think every film (except maybe documentaries) can have original music/a song made for it. Of course not a song like Shallow on a movie about murder, but songs that are tailored to match the visuals. Not to constantly bring up examples lmao but the Harriet Tubman film recently had a main song, it was very powerful and beautiful. Call Me By Your Name has a gentle romantic song to match their vibe, etc. We can agree to disagree
