Tim Burton Reportedly Wants Johnny Depp to Star in Netflix's Addams Family

Tim Burton has been developing The Addams Family TV show for Netflix. Now, word has emerged that Burton is eyeballing his most recurring leading man for the role of Gomez Addams in the project.

According to Small Screen, Tim Burton wants Johnny Depp to play the role of Gomez. Reportedly, Burton sees Deep as someone who could "do the role justice." But while Burton has expressed confidence in the actor's talents, another rumor suggests that Netflix needs to be convinced on this casting. It should be noted that the report cannot be confirmed at the current time.

The newest live-action television take on The Addams Family will see Burton executive producing the project, along with the possibility of directing all of the episodes. Alfred Gough and Miles Millar, the creators behind the fan-favorite Smallville, will serve as executive producers and showrunners of The Addams Family.

They need a latin-american to play Gomez, or at least spanish. Johnny Depp doesn't even remotely look like Gomez, Gomez need a round face, he is a latin lover, Depp isn't fit for the role. Also, it's better to wait untill he gets closure with his Amber Heard lawsuit before casting him again. He was dropped from Fantastic Beasts and there was a reason for it. I don't believe Netflix would allow him to be cast.
