however you feel about bts, this isn't true. asian fans don't tune in to stream for the artists in the west, they'd rather stream on their own network to contribute to awards and achievements in korea (which often rely on sales). the streams and views in the united states ARE from american fans, you forget that they use the same streaming regimens as many fandoms.

well they have been battling with that for years but their filter is still very weak, just look at any big kpop page they streams from vpns daily and they have tutorials for fans how to do correctly and there is so so many ways to cheat filter

some are like just downloading tor browser who hides IP and so on...

idk I have seen dozens of kpop fan pages on twitter and fb who preaches for another non-us stans to stream from vpn

just do a quick search and u will see its everywhere

that also expalins why almost none of the GP in the US knows about them

yes. some fans from abroad stream their music. but it literally is not as much as you'd like to think. they have a LOT of fans in the united states, easily in hundreds of thousands if not millions.
