Eitherway no, no one broke that record. At least not among females anyway. She's the only one to hit #1 over 50

 

Madonna almost at 50 (I think she was 49) almost got to the top with "4 minutes" but it ended up peaking at #3 so she's the only one who got close to Cher... And even then she featured JT whereas Cher went actually #1 over 50 and solo

I think Rihanna will be fine as well tbh she’s diversifying herself by getting into fashion and makeup. At this point, she’s more known for that  and she’s putting in the work to make them worthwhile brands.

I checked and it did go #1 in Canada! It actually went #1 in 41 countries, but in the US it peaked at #7

She will be more of a Liza or Barbra, a multi-hyphenate musical and performing talent balancing albums, concerts, films, and other media. It's definitely a plan she initiated post-ARTPOP with American Horror Story and Cheek to Cheek. Basic business principle called diversification. You do not sink all your assets into one thing or else its failure spells your demise.

It will truly all depend on the acting projects she takes part in, also picking roles that has nothing to do with one another would be great. I think she knows that though since she didn't rush into doing another role involving singing right after ASIB. Overexposure is the thing to avoid because then people start hating on you out of nowhere! She's smart and I can't wait to see what the future holds
