But she was never the female Michael Jackson. She was EXTREMELY successful, but that's it. Now that years have passed, it is very clear that Katy Perry holds no cultural/musical significance whatsoever. She might go down as the most successful pop artist of the 2010s, and even that might be eclipsed in people's memories by Gaga's everlasting presence or Adele's phenomenon. Katy Perry has become the perfect example that having all the #1s holds very little to your legacy. And she was, indeed, unstoppable back then.
