Imo "tu,n" was Ariana's commercial peak. She'll only go down from there. She'll still have success of course and she definitely has the potential to have other peaks but I don't see her having "tu,n" success ever again

How much do bundles affects sales? Like what’s the percentage? Can’t be that much. I can see it having a sizeable effect when bundled with tickets, but merch? Maybe a couple thousand at most. I’m glad they don’t count anymore cause sometimes i just wanna buy merch and not end up with 10 digital albums

sam smith I’m not too surprised cause there has been no promo for this album and the delay and title change all probably affected it as well

i personally am shocked at Ari’s numbers. I doubt she cares (and she shouldn’t) but she’s definitely the mpg at the moment and i was expecting bigger numbers. She’s never been amazing with pure sales but her streams usually carry her. I’m sure the election had some effect on it but again, was not expecting numbers to be this low

She did great numbers with ARTPOP, but the media destroyed the whole era. I'm surprised she even managed to get a 64 on Metacritic, because the critics that don't count for the site were a lot harsher

That's true unfortunately  The album was still a commercial success and also such a great record. Media response was very unfair.

Im kind do shocked. That seems very low. Maybe my expectations are too high or maybe I don't understand the new bundle less charts but I'd be disappointed if Gaga did that number too.

This isn't good for her. But a #1 is a #1. She still has the potential to do really well with a proper release I think.

Ariana has to bring it though. I feel like she's doing the bare minimum with her amazing voice. Her style/esthetics just seem so vapid as well right now. She can do much MUCH better.

That’s crazy. I’m pretty sure like half of Chromatica’s sales come from merch. They wouldn’t be selling thongs, jockstraps, pillows, and mugs if it were “a couple thousand”
