Having said that though, I’m hoping there’s a slight move away from the focus on ultra cohesive albums at the minute. I love cohesion in records but I sometimes there’s trying to hard which can make albums too samey. There’s ways to have a cohesive record without every track following the same genre or exact style, a good flow can work wonders. Like when Lady Gaga released Perfect Illusion, we all thought Joanne was going to be her alt-rock era, when in reality it was the total opposite.
