AZ is releasing a huge batch today and is almost done, they’ve been pretty consistent with counting and releasing on a schedule.

Hi, a few things this morning: During the night Biden nearly doubled his lead in GA, still a few votes left in Cobb county but likely not enough

AZ’s next update is 11am ET

NVs update is at noon ET

PA resumed counting less than an hour ago, set to do continuous updates through the day. AP will more than likely call PA when Biden reaches 35k margin

At this point Trump needs a miracle, he needs 57% of the remaining vote and he’s been getting 53%, this last update should hopefully be enough to call AZ for good

I know the left wing is splitting up in to two schools of thoughts, the incrementalists, and who I like to call the “squad-supporters” (people who think we need to make some radical changes right now). The problem is this: We need to keep a united front while the right wing still has power. As soon as the right wing self-destructs and no longer has any political power, we can figure out how to resolve our differences. We need to stay unified in a single party with both Biden and AOC while the Republican party still has enough power to control the senate and the supreme court. I know this is causing a lot of tension, some of which is here in GGD, but we need to set aside our differences and do everything we can to make the Republicans go the way of the Whigs.

Everyone in the center and on the left has been unified in getting Trump out of office. Despite this, because of how presidential races are won in the US, we barely got enough votes in WI, PA, GA, and AZ—all four states currently have an under 1% lead for Biden—to get Trump out of office. If we split our votes, like we did in 2016 (and, yes, I know it was only like 5% of Sanders supporters who didn’t vote for Clinton, so most have been on board, but our unified lead is barely enough to win the rust belt and a couple other states), we only enable the right wing to put nutcases like Trump in the Oval Office.

Once Texas is solidly blue, once GA votes for Democrats by 5% margins, once the Republican party only has power at the state level in deep red places like Alabama and Oklahoma, once we have wide-scale ranked choice voting (right now two states, ME and MA, have it), once we reenact the voting rights act and have federal anti-gerrymandering laws on the books, and a Supreme Court which won’t take voting rights away, only then do we handle or differences by splitting in to two parties. But not now. Right now, we still need to kill the beast that the Republican party has become. As long as a party whose voters would vote for president a man caught on tape bragging about grabbing women in their private parts, we need to concentrate on giving that party no more political power.

Sorry for the long rant. I’m still traumatized over 2016, and I’m working on healing the anger I still have that just enough Sanders supporters in PA/WI/MI stayed home or voted Green to give Trump the White House.

The Democrats lost in 2016 because they ran a terrible candidate that older voters like you who spend way too much time watching CNN and MSNBC picked because you were told to, and then you spent four years blaming us for your own failure. You're still doing it now.

No, we don't need the old, corrupt conservative Dem leadership. No, we don't need relics like Biden and his Republican-loving ilk in the Democratic Party. Obama ran as an unabashed progressive and won in a landslide; the only reason the Democratic Party keeps face planting like this is because exactly what you and the rest of the conservative Dems on this site have been advocating for for years doesn't work electorally and keeps healthcare, a living wage, and student loan forgiveness out of the hands of regular people and kills innocent people abroad. 

AOC, Ilhan Omar, and Rashida Tlaib are the future. Get on board or get out of the way.
