I don't disagree with the fact that there are the user agreements and by signing it you're agreeing to conditions. But what I am saying is that because there are no regulations these companies are getting to have it both ways. Either they should be a public forum with exemption for liability with few limitations with regard to content or they should be a publisher that does get to determine the content but do assume that liability. And again, it's all because congress doesn't legislate that we are in this situation in the first place. We're a capitalist country, whether you like it or not. I certainly don't, but that isn't the point. Of course restrictions should exist in capitalism. Government restrictions. But there's a difference between restricting a monopoly from becoming more powerful and the contents of a social media site. Other than outright nationalization, I don't see a point in restricting these companies' right to moderate the content on the platform they themselves invented, invert in, and maintain. If you don't want to be banned on Twitter, go to another platform that allows that kind of content or build your own platform. It's not the fact I like it or not, Trump was responsible for the deaths and lower living standards of millions of Americans. We can discuss whether other Dem politicans are responsible for the same with people abroad, but that'd require a discussion on the very nature of imperialism and USA's role as a world power, something that is futile because we can't change all of it overnight. Biden is better than Trump. A progressive is better than Biden. But this is where we are now, with Biden. Now let's work to create more leftist politicians, not electing fascists because "durr, they have less blood on their hands". As if Trump wouldn't have more "blood" (whatever that means) after 30 years in office. I agree with most of this. I do get frustrated when people present a romanticized version of Joe just because they want Trump out. I get it. Orange man bad, but we do not have to accept that Joe is this great politician. Btw short list of what I was referring to has to do with all the wars that joe voted for, crime bill, etc. I know all of this has been litigated many times over but I think it's necessary to repeat it because this is different than when Obama was elected in his first term. My issues with Obama as president aside, when he ran in 2008 he had done virtually few things that I disagreed with at the time and was very progressive with his rhetoric. His victory was worthy of celebrating and being very excited about but I don't think it's fair to say the same about Joe.

All Im saying is that their function is now different with these new measures they have taken and that there should be regulation stating that they are no longer exempt from liability because they are no longer a public forum and are instead a publisher. Everything that you mentioned is necessary to do as an established politician in a world power with imperialist interests. We do not have a Senate Majority, unless we can win at least one of the Georgia run-off elections + get some moderate Republicans like Susan Collins and Mitt Romney to vote with Democrats. The best we can do is put someone in the 'Acting' position if they can't get a Senate confirmation. And there is a MASSIVE difference between Biden and Trump that I am not going to engage in. How about Biden nominates Susan Collins for a cabinet position? Make centre-right suburban female voters happy and possibly replace a Republican senator with a Democratic one in Maine through a special election then after that seize the opportunity to get DC+PR statehood and fill the court. There's a difference between holding Twitter accountable for being a cesspool of white supremacism and holding Twitter accountable because "it doesn't allow every opinion" (a dog whistle for allowing hate speech btw). Gov't SHOULD hold Twitter accountable in case it is found that it was the platform used for a terrorist attack, for example, but not for banning a crazy MAGA hat spreading misinformation. Trump caused over 200K americans to lose their live but that isn't necessarily comparable to what Biden has been responsible for. Just because you think Trump is bad you can't just say, "well if he had a longer career, he would have been responsible for more deaths than Biden so Biden's better." That's not a true apples to apples comparison. As it is, I only went into that because the way you were using, "blood." As for me sounding like a right-winger, that's obviously not true. Well, you sounding like one doesn't mean you are one. I know you aren't one. I just said you're using the talking points a right-winger would use. If you want to elect someone who doesn't have this amount of so-called "blood", then you'd be living in a fantasy if you think that is possible now. Holding an established politician in an imperialist nation such as the USA to such hugh scrutiny will lead yo to very dark places. Re-electing Trump or electing a fascist that wasn't even paid attention before, just because he's an outcast that doesn't have "blood" on his hands. Lord how hard it is to understand that gay people, for example, are in danger with a Trump presidency. 200.000 people died in like a year. And you're still implying Biden is worse. I cannot discuss in good faith with you if you think that Former First Lady of the United States. Now card-carrying member of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
