I also do not subscribe to this rhetoric that Biden will “barely” win.

He’s going to take AZ and potentially flip GA. He won back the midwest where Hillary lost. 

Biden’s popular vote numbers are INSANE. 

We cannot have it both ways. We can’t say the large number of Trump voters is emblematic of where the country is at and out of the same mouth say that what Joe Biden has done here is meaningless.

To be clear - this isn’t about sympathy or even about empathy. I’m a coastal elite who pretty much loathes the middle of the country. I am not a socialist and I think Bernie and AOC are nuts. This is all about understanding your opponent and how Trump came to be. Saying it’s “stupidity and racism” is the lazy way out. 

Well, but as it stands right now, Biden is barely winning. If Biden wins NV, then he gets to 270 and he wins. But if Trump maintains PA, GA, and NC, then he gets to 265. That's just a narrow victory for Biden.

And yeah, his popular vote numbers are insane, but it's not as big of a deal as I think many make it out to be, tbh. More people were allowed to vote than in 2016 (whether they finally turned 18 and were allowed to vote or for whatever reason). The fact that Biden has the most votes of any candidate in the history of this country really only shows that the population is growing and that the eligibility of voters grew, which is something that's inherently going to happen. You do have to give credit for the high turnout numbers, though. That is remarkable, but again, when I see the headline, "Biden gets most votes out of any presidential candidate in history!", I'm frankly not that impressed. 

I do think it's important to understand voters, but I don't think calling them "stupid and racist" is the "lazy way out" when we've seen that there is a vocal chunk of Trump's base that is stupid and racist. Whether that's the minority, I guess we can't know for certain, but it's fact that 100% of the people that voted for him in 2020 did not see his racism, his homophobia, his transphobia, his sexism, etc. as a deal-breaker. And that, to me, means that they are complacent with the way he talks about and governs minorities and other disenfranchised groups. 

Let's also be real: a lot of the times, voting for a presidential candidate because they can help you, specifically is almost never going to happen. If people want real change, then vote in local elections. Those people will more directly help you than the president. When I hear people say, "I voted for 'x' candidate because they put MY needs first, and I like that!", I can't just help but wonder why they think that. The truth is, many people's lives don't drastically change because of a changing president. They might, and look, I'm not saying that Biden won't help those disenfranchised, but he is also not personally responsible for EVERYONE'S individual needs. The president, to many people, should be a symbol of the country instead of the be-all-end-all solution to their real-life, everyday problems.

Yeah that was reported hours ago. Thats why there is a delay. They aren't sure if they can get the results out by today, but they said they want to remain hopeful

Every states has different methods and paper systems. A reporter timed  that is takes 45 sec to count each ballot from opening envelope, verifying , sorting to placing into scanners. This is without there being a problem with the ballot etc.

Well, but if Trump's racism, homophobia, sexism, xenophobia, etc. isn't enough to sway you (or anyone else) from him, then yeah...you are at the very least complacent with racism.

I'm NOT saying that you're racist. I barely know you  I'm just saying that if those things aren't enough for people to move away from him, then they at least don't have a problem with racism because it doesn't affect them.

Biden is currently at 253 electoral votes, & Trump is at 213.

At this point, all Biden needs to win is Arizona & Nevada!! 🥳

Even if Trump wins in the states he’s currently leading in, it’s still not enough to reach 270.

The way German media has their foot on Trump's neck, with even the most traditionally conservative websites saying he's an undemocratic bastard that he deliberately sabotaged the USPS in order to make Biden lose votes in Florida and Pennsylvania
