COME ON!" interruptions are a bit annoying... or idk she sounds a bit whiny.. I think she really is anxious. A lot is on the line and we know it is a topic that is really, really important to her. She want's Joe really to succeed. I think she's scared she might f*ck it up for him. That's why she explained the video and what she was wearing. I'd be nervous too. If we look back at clinton and her support and that of katy perry. Analysts even went so far to say that the pop star support might have hurt her. So yeah, sure she is nervous and I can't blame her. Now lets all keep our fingers crossed

StrawberryBlond 14,881
I agree she seemed very anxious and anguished throughout that. I really feel for how she was almost begging with the crowd to sing along with her and they weren't having it. I know it was only a small rally and wasn't full of her fans but still, Shallow was a huge hit, I thought the crowd would be a bit more alive than that. Even when she asked people to shout if they're voting tomorrow, she got basically nothing (unless everyone there already postal voted). It's such a contrast to her very calm, collected and measured voting video. If Biden doesn't win, I fear this will really hit her hard and she'll guilt herself into feeling like she was partly to blame, Gaga tends to be like that. Popstars should realise that they really can't control politics, though. I've personally never heard of someone saying a celebrity influenced them to vote a certain way or changed their mind. ShayCristoforo 10,607
She always takes on a lot. You can see this in the way she manages every part of her career (whereas some other artists take a backseat). Her passion is beautiful, but must be overwhelming at times. And I think we see that vibe often from her. Stress, responsibility and dedication take a mental, emotional, physical toll on her. But what helps is when those efforts are validated. So I hope Biden wins, for her sake and for everyone. The "tenacity of the human spirit", as Gaga says, should always win. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time. The crowd was pretty engaged at the beginning, must've been freezing fking cold lol It was about 40 degrees but Heinz Field sits by the intersection of the 3 rivers so the wind off the water makes it feel a lot colder. It was also the first cold weather that most of us were outside in for an extended period in a LONG time, so a lot of us were definitely underdressed too (including me). On the crowd generally, my coworker found out the night before that he and some others from the Biden campaign would be going down and they were told to arrive around 4. The cars all got searched and everyone in the secured area was covid-tested, so once you were inside that barricaded parking lot you basically couldn't leave. The event was a "drive in" and most of the people who got to park closest to the stage were a) there mainly for Biden, since the people with those tickets were affiliated with the campaign staff, large donors, etc., b) were sitting in their cars because staff was enforcing social distancing protocol, especially by the stage, and because it was cold, and c) had been sitting in their cars in the middle of a parking lot (where each car could only have 2 people) for over 4 hours by the time Gaga got on stage, so I definitely see how that area felt and sounded dead. Otherwise, my friend and I went down around 7 and there was a growing line of unmoving traffic where people who didn't have tickets were also trying to get into the barricaded lots. We ended up parking nearby and we walked over to Gold Lot 2, which was as close as we could get to the edge of the secured area but still really far from the stage. There was a decent sized crowd there and it grew as the night went on. The event was barely publicized, where even the police working there found out the details just a few hours beforehand. The people around me cheered like crazy for Gaga even though we were basically just standing around outside in a cold parking lot for 2 hours before she came on. Some people there even had signs for her and were singing along at full volume - we were just so far away that the crowd noise wasn't picked up on the broadcast streams. I was actually surprised at how "dead" the crowd seemed when I got home and watched the video. In person, Gaga sounded amazing despite singing outside in the cold weather. I've worked other concerts at Heinz Field and the acoustics are notoriously bad because of the way the sound carries out toward the rivers, so I was definitely impressed that she sounded as good as she did. Everyone I talked to thought it was totally worth the traffic, standing around outside in the cold and waiting though!
