It's probably just licensing.  Companies make products and then license rights from celebrities and/or brands for the exposure.  

If you make a bubble bath, you can pay Disney to let you put any of their characters on it through a licensing deal.  

It's smart, but I don't think Rob & Kris were the kitchen figuring out this recipe and then managing production, bottle, design and distribution.
