He's not indian, he doesn't understand their culture, many countries are still not evolving in certain human rights, you're not gonna change anything by yelling at them on Twitter especially if you're not from India. It would make a bigger impact if an indian actor, director etc spoke out about it. He just looks like a fool

i completely understand and get what you’re saying about this, however i cant get my head around how woman on woman is completely fine but man on man isn’t.

like if you’re going to be a culture against homosexuality for “religious reasons”, isn’t homosexuality in both sexes wrong? this statement of allowing a lesbian scene and not a gay scene shows it’s purely bigoted and not because of their morals.

Never knew they accepted lesbianism on tv and not gay males

men rule in their world. Hetero men like pretty girls kissing each others because it is hot for them and two men are not.

That’s actually a weird double standard. As you know I’m from India, I’ve seen so many homophobic men be comfortable with two women kissing, but are ready to beat up two men doing the same.

I think thats rooted in misogyny and they probably see women together as sexual and for THEIR pleasure

Good on Dan for saying something!!! It’s needed, even if he’s not from there, any person speaking out on bigoted/dangerous parts of culture is nice.

Mister G

Most cultures view homosexuality as an effeminate trait or lifestyle so when two women are making out it’s viewed as okay. Two guys do it and the world suddenly is ending. Why bother airing the show to censor certain parts? Dan Levy has every reason to be bothered by this. It’s flipping 2020; people need to stop acting like we’re living in the dark ages.

You can't censor everything.

In this heteronormative world, if a homosexual kiss is so offensive?!

How do you normalize it?

Homosexuality is not some cheap tawdry secret limited to some dinghy back alleys, its two individuals in love. I think we have advanced to normalizing queerness.

He has every right to call them out. But I think he should call them out for bigotry and misogyny to highlight the reason why homophobia is prevalent. It's rooted in the fragility of their masculinity. Judging from which they chose to censor and not censor.

He still has every right to be outraged, as the producer of the show. Nothing wrong with airing his feelings out on Twitter even if it won’t change anything.
