Normani about album: 'When God tells me that it’s done, then it’ll be done'

All I know is, when Motivation came out I was immediately told by gays on my TL that Normani was the one, but when I watched the video I just saw (and heard ) Ariana Grande.

She's beautiful and has a great voice but maybe the reason there's no album is because the GP isn't clicking with her? It reminds me of talented people who win shows like American Idol but then fizzle out once they record something. Just because you're talented and have a big label behind you doesn't mean you're going to be a star... you need a point of view and a hand in what you create if you want any longevity in this industry 

Basically... this is a petition to stop hyping up pop girls before they even release their first project

That's right. Camila was interesting since day 1 it's not her fault that people loved her therfore the label cared to promote her material you need interest from the public for the label to promote you.

OT: it's been so so long since motivation, like you'd expect for her new music to come out soonish after motivation?? She has the potential and hit, but her label just isn't doing her justice.
