I personally don’t like her. Her music is not my thing. My only criticism is that I think she’s way to pretentious for that she does. that’s it. But I’m not going bashing her in threads. I’m not a fan current music atm.

I don’t hate her, I just find her pretentious, but she’s young so I think it’s normal. But some of her fans resort to personal attacks if you ever say anything negative at all about her.

Idk.   I don't hate Billie or any other artist.  They are all just people.  They just want to be happy, and along the way they provide entertainment for many people.

There was a time I sorta hated Bieber because I believed he mistreated his fans.  But Gaga showed me the way.  At a time when Bieber was widely hated by many, Gaga saw the best in him.  Gaga looks for the best in each person and says it is always wrong to hate.  This philosophy could be applied to any artist, including Billie.

at a time when Pop music in general is under seige from many directions, between COVID and trying to navigate a new environment where people don't want to pay for music, it makes no sense to me for fans to actively "war" with other pop fans as if pop music is some sort of sporting event.   If pop fans want to continue to get the high dollar videos, tour productions, etc that they are used to they should be supporting the entire industry, not actively working against some of its entertainers.

LMs hate every new pop girl that finds success. They hated Ariana during TUN for example, but ofc now that she collaborated with Gaga they love her but the story was quite different in 2019.

It’s a repeated cycle on here whenever a female artist is releasing an album or doing good.

And then when people rave about how good their album was they get insecure. First everyone hated Ariana during TUN but suddenly after ROM they love her, Dua lipa got even more hated on after dropping Future Nostalgia, Billie got hated on for hating the meat dress (as she should, it’s gross) and then Ava is hated because she is a “Gaga ripoff”:bear:

I don’t even need to mention the fact that every time a Beyoncé thread is made a racist comment is made:bear:

I agree.

Also, people complain if they don't like a song, an album, a genre, etc., but because tastes vary, other people like that same song, album, genre, etc.  So it makes no sense to hate.  It would be better to consider the humanity of it all.  Every artist is a person, and no person deserves to be saddled with hate.  What any artist produces is liked by some and disliked by some and that's just the way things are.
