I remember getting so excited listening to it for the first time after the buildup of the 1st verse then the song went nowhere. To this day, I still don't know what went through their heads that made them think it was a good idea to release it. I've grown to tolerate the song but that whole experience still haunts me. Delulu Rogers 7,088 Posted October 4, 2020 Share Posted October 4, 2020 PI from an objective and commercial standpoint but anything from Joanne as the lead wouldn’t have done super great anyways which is why I have to say SL is her worst lead. Not only is the chorus so weak, the beat is very jarring and the song is very generic. It doesn’t even fit with the album sonically the lyrics are weak too. To think they spent 2 years on this song is crazy to me considering the final product. Alice and Engima would have done so much better and have that gaga flare to them.
