I like the Nurse character holding a snake in the first part and then it flashing to her badge with the snake medical symbol in the second.

What does the snake represent? Anyone?

What culture is represented in the video? It looks like a mix of Native Western and Asian culture at once. I’m very confused.

i was torn between thinking the snake was possibly supposed to represent some sort of medication/pills or “venom” that the nurse had, but the snake representing the medical symbol would make a lot more sense!

the attention to detail in the video is amazing.  Watching the first part after understanding the second part and you can see exactly what is happening in the "real world" as it happens, interpreted by the mind dream state.  I like how the paramedic and nurse visit each accident victim in turn, etc.  Holding up a ventilator mask to a person.  All kinds of little things that seemed random become obvious.

For me the dream is a representation of what she usually brings to the world: fashion, art, symbolism, looks. That is what everyone sees but in the end she always ends up the same, suffering all her physical and psychological issues and overdoing herself all the time. The "I don't want to die" part is painful because it seems to make sense when you remember that this is her return to pop and the extravaganza that once made her but it's getting harder and harder to do so now.

Look at the end how even the initials LG doens't exist and they just stands for the technology brand, it's like the world keeps moving forward but she is still Lady Gaga.

this entire video was a display of all the things she went through- all the reasons why she wrote the song 911. And at the same time, it was her love letter to the healthcare workers and everyone else who is on the other end of the line when you dial 911. her mind!

It’s a common symbol for pharmacists, nurses, medicine in general

this is such a wonderful way to look at the entire video! it makes me really think of not just the video, but gaga’s career as a whole with the way you put it at the end.

lady gaga isn’t a real person, she’s a concept. the world keeps on turning, but thanks to gaga’s creativity and team, that concept keeps on living and working to sustain itself!

How do snakes represent doctors? :bear:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caduceus_as_a_symbol_of_medicine

The caduceus is the traditional symbol of Hermes and features two snakes winding around an often winged staff. It is often used as a symbol of medicine instead of the Rod of Asclepius, especially in the United States. The two-snake caduceus design has ancient and consistent associations with trade, eloquence, negotiation, alchemy and wisdom.

Someone on Youtube interpreted it differently. They focused more on Gaga and the 'rich man', in the dream he wears a big gown with firefighters around him. The man in the car crash is suffocating without anyone beside him, and the woman is howling and holding someone around her.

Someone's saying it might be a critique of society focusing on important and wealthy individuals over laymen and because she's Lady Gaga, she beneefits from this privilege, sometimes at the cost of people around her.

The Color of Pomegranates is a biography of the Armenian ashug Sayat-Nova (King of Song) that attempts to reveal the poet's life visually and poetically rather than literally.

Oh wow. I love your interpretation of the LG initials. So clever
