Was that the Dope persona in the beginning in the desert on the horse?? Since she's talking about being high and all...

On the one hand it's a pity we didn't see more from Chromatica, but on the other hand it's such an important music video with deep meaning, I cried when I saw Gaga suffer at the end. I know it's just a music video, but it touched me a lot. Amazing metaphor and very memorable. This video is brilliant but uncomfortable for me to watch. Much suffering in him. Do you think it's a single? I doubt I can't imagine the merch from this song.

Hello, you realize this is Lady Gaga? Most of her music videos are inspired by something and portray something in particular and have reference to art of the past...

I wanted to hate that at first too but I now feel like it was a good way to “re-ground” the final scene in the real world where obnoxious ads are everywhere. Plus the “Life’s Good” tag line is fitting. And the LG initials!

It was a perfect use of irony and humor. Done in a dark comic way.

I'm so happy we got something like this this era. Oh my god, that was epic. This is literally the definition of ART+POP.

I said it another thread but the video feels like a X between Judas and G.U.Y. Like a David Lynch film. It’s brilliant. Gonna have to watch it a hundred more times to decipher it though.

Don’t wanna be rude but the ending is so obvious.

the entire video was a hallucination in her brain to save her from the pain of dying. She was brought back to life and you can see everyone who was there was in the crash.

the guy banging his head was having his head bang on the air bag in the car, woman with the mummy was a woman with the dead body, the woman in white with the snake was the EMT, etc.

Her tilting her head back with her hand over her mouth is a oxygen mask and her then tilting to the side and back is her getting mouth to mouth.

I also think it's a metaphor for the existence of Lady Gaga, how trauma made her exist artistically. During this episode she was Lady Gaga, and when she wakes up, notice how the doctors call her Stefani. I think her intention was to emphasize the fact that trauma made her create Lady Gaga on her mind.
