California Smoke Travels All The Way To Toronto & NE USA

Sh*t, I'm in Quebec and I could swear the sky was sort of veiled today 

Maybe it was my imagination, but I wouldn't be surprised if the smoke travelled all the way here. Plus it's been unusually cold for this time of year, it's still technically summer but it feels like mid-October...

I didn't notice it either but to be fair it was cloudy here today

 

I only saw cuz my mom called me to see sunset (clouds now are a bit reduced so I can actually see sky)

This last week has been cooler in general

 

It was only 20C today here in Toronto which is unusually cold for mid September

as a Canadian with horrible winters 

and literally 3 months max of warm/hot weather 

if a year was ruined cause of that I’d 

that being said depending on wildfires normally - they ruin many good days yearly but not to that degree

Honestly I wouldn't mind. Between my  physical job in shop without AC and just disliking extreme heat I wouldn't mind a more mild summer

 

Unless ur going to the beach I don't get why some people like 30C or hotter like how does that enhance your summer? It's so much more pleasent going outside or hiking, taking a walk, sight seeing etc if it's 20C to 24C 

 

Besides 3 months of heat vs like 1 month of comfortable temperatures

 

I dunno what it is about Canada (at least my area) but the Spring and Fall are extremely short seasons. The weather like to flip from extreme heat to extreme cold (and vice versa) super quickly

 

Some years ur lucky to get 2 weeks of comfortable temperatures. I've had times where my heating was still on in the spring and by end of week the AC already had to be on and then it just stayed hot forever smh like what the hell is that

one day it could be 10, next day 30 for 2 weeks straight, go to bed and the next day it’s 15 amd then a week later snow.

OMG yes especially in Spring and Fall when the weather is trying to decide if it's summer or winter the temperatures are like the stock market u just do not know which extreme it's going to next

 

Portugal where I used to live temperatures were more predictable and less extrem although they had their own extremes with precipitation with the dry summers going a month straight without a drop of rain and rainny winter a month straight or more without seeing the sun (that's not an exaggeration)

I mean in terms of smell where I live it's not enough to smell it I don't think. But then again my sense if smell sucks
