Even if it might be wrong (whatever “wrong” means), it’s not harmful in practice, because it’s a luxury article for the rich. It doesn’t take anything away from cheap masks. They’re not exploiting the masses or depriving anyone from protection by selling this.
Even if it’s a futile product (which it really is), at least the company and its employees are presumably profiting from it (the latter, by not being fired), since the demand for luxury items has plummeted in the pandemic and the sector is quite desperate.

It probably cost hundreds of dollars being a high tech one. She didn’t have to wear one that expensive but she did anyway. You don’t have to buy an expensive mask either, don’t complain about the people selling them. People spend hundreds of dollars on things they don’t need everyday.
