@whoresup One of my all-time favourite Madonna songs. If I could give this 11 I would but there’s another song on this record that clinches it. Beautiful melody and production. Gorgeous.

@Lionel Ronaldo This song is everything. The voice, music, melody, rhythm. Everything is so perfect.

@monster My favorite song off this album. It's one of the few Madonna songs that I would feel confident enough to sing in person.

@MingersPrayer This is a brilliance. It’s club music merged with new age. I feel like the wind is blasting as drive down an open road – the lyrical imagery against the music flow. I love that this takes on the religious themes from before with the Gospel, heaven, Prophet etc – a personal journey and revelation for Madonna - and merves it to a world view in the chorus - “Isn't everyone just Traveling down their own road”. Imagine what social media comments would be like if we considered this more. Again this touches on judgement but also introspection. “watching signs” is a reminder to me to be connected to the greater world – we (willingly or not) miss so many of the clear indications given outside of us as we’re out of sync with the natural rhythm. This also bring vulnerability for me with the ‘child fits mother’ being present from the start – something warm and enriching but also wounding and traumatic when you know about Madonna’s life story. This could be a long poem (in fact is down borrow from a Max Blagg poem) but the dance music brings it to a new level. Something harder with anticipation and speed.

@Blown Away This instrumental is something else. Play it in your car with a loud volume and you'll know what I mean. It's like a continuation of Skin sonically, where I was going to space with that song Sky Fits Heaven sounds like an adventure in space with a crash in the end. The lyrics are kinda non-sense for me but with an instrumental like that I don't give a -.

She lost record of the year to Celine with My Heart Will Go On & album of the year went to Miseducation of Lauryn Hill - honestly it was a tough year. I love all the records in that category that year. I mean Shania was in that year & it’s still the biggest selling record by a female artist. And it lost. So 🤷🏻‍♂️

@MingersPrayer 7 years after Warren Beatty famous said of Madonna “She doesn't want to live off-camera, much less talk.” we hear a new Madonna, new to motherhood telling us of her regrets and disappointments in playing the fame game. The reflection & reinvention of an artist who had already reincarnated multiple times in a 15 year career – never before seen by a female pop star. What I love about Madonna most: she is (or was?) able to read the room. Her finger was on the pulse and she took us on a journey we didn’t know we needed. The production by Orbit is outstanding – showing us what we’re in for. I love the climax when the reverb crashes and she tells us that “No one-night stand, no far-off land” can replace love. Her daughter. Her religion. Her introspection. It’s cathartic, it’s a shedding of skin (more about that later). As a 10 year old, I didn’t understand this song when it came out but it made me curious. Her voice soft and alluring – more raw and unbound than any other record. She delivers a new message, a new outlook on life. And I fall in love every time.

@El Greco The way the producers mixed the sampling "you see" with the chill ambient beat is one of my favorite things. It gives me like a nostalgic feeling; makes me think and question life.. don't know if that makes sense. I always listen to this album when i seek healing.

@Blown Away I love the intro, it's so mysterious and it gets you interested for what's to come. Then the verse comes in and I must say that Madonna's soft and delicate vocals are a great refection of the beautiful production. The way they evolve with the production is nice too. However, the song is overall a bit boring. But it's not a bad song.
