Yesterday, MP Päivi Räsänen published an article on Facebook in which she states that Pride is not a human rights event.

Räsänen’s update has garnered over a thousand comments for and against, and has been shared nearly 500 times.

Singer, actor and tubettor Tuure Boelius takes a position on Räsänen's writing in an open letter addressed to him.

''When I came to ask for a photo with you at the age of 13, you were “familiar to me on TV,” but if I had known then how you drive and promote a narrow-minded worldview, I wouldn’t have even looked at you, Boelius uploads. How dare you use your influence for such a human rights oppression? I have met many loving families grown rainbow children and young people. I have met children and young people whose mother and father beats drinking. Is not the main issue is not the fact that your child has a safe home and loving parents, whether any sex? Freedom of speech is not a reason to attack human rights, and human rights are not matters of opinion, tubettaja says. You often associate your opinions with God. Your thoughts of God are vomiting and narrow-minded, but fortunately my God forgives your sins too.''

She has also said that homosexuality is a disorder of a psychosexual development, would ban abort if she could and even said that if her daughter would get raped and would get pregnant she would want her to have it.
