I can't believe this movement has been since the 70s and we still struggling to bring equality in full force. How come it hasnt become normal to just deal with the fact that we all are equal. Why is not normalized yet? To just assume it

Wow. Thank you for sharing this. She really spoke so well on such a controversial topic especially back in those days. I love how after each question she pauses and thinks about what to say. Her bravery and authenticity are so inspirational. Truly a legend!! :firega:

“They don’t need me.” I feel like is a subtle and overlooked line of this. A lot of allies fall into the trap of saviorism. She has very powerfully been opposed to that before there was even a word for it. The consistency :diane:

I love the way Jane decenters herself from the conversation, works to make sure the actual issues are being discussed and knows what the **** she's talking about.  Gotta love her.

You just have to take a look at what the black community is struggling with today in 2020 after so many years of fighting. Not surprised the world is still this way about the LGBTQ+ community and you just can't eradicate that mentality. I don't think we're ever going to live in a world where everyone respects the person next to you. It's sad but it's reality.
