that's because american is obsessed with rap and has been for a while. i say that as someone who loves the genre. but yes, you could argue we have **** taste in music because the top 10 is a joke 95% of the time

Honestly, I'm really rooting for the talented ones, esp POC artists. It's the mumble rap, problematic Lil X's and Y's of the world that really annoy the **** out of me :cyanlights:

It could be worse

Sweden - 1 week :bear:

Atleast we make up for it by having Shallow for 26 weeks and ARUTW peaking at 10 :ally:

It has been like that for years.  If ROM included a rent a rapper it would still be top20 now.

The reason why ROM isn't doing that well is mainly because off pop radio. Break my heart is still top 20 on the hot 100 because of radio meanwhile doing alot worse than ROM on Itunes/Spotify/Apple Music/Youtube :poot:

I can live with ROMs chart performance on the Hot 100, but I only wish people would know it did a lot better in other countries. It makes sense to take the US chart as reference for US artists, but I feel like many people act like it's the only chart that exists.
