I love it tbh. I also love when she adds an “a” every time she sings something with “m” at the end, like when she did with the “dreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaMA” at the end of Sound of Music tribute :yennefer:

Oh no. I feel a speech coming on.

She doesn't add an a at the end of dream. What you are hearing is her pronouncing the m. She is taking care not to trail off, but to pronounce the word dream fully and properly. Everybody please try this yourselves. All together now, sing DreeeeeèeeeeeeeaaaaàaeaaaeaaaM. Emphasize that M. It'll sound a bit like you're adding an a, but all you're really doing is pronouncing the M.

It's the same with the Star Spangled Banner. She finishes the song with the long drawn out BraaaaaaaaaàaaaaaqaaaaaàaaaaaVe (I should probably have more a's in there). I've put a capital V because again she makes a point of the fact that she is pronouncing the word fully and properly. She wants you to hear that V. That is why, in my opinion, her version of the SSB is better than everyone else's. All of the words are treated with respect. All of the words are pronounced properly. All of the notes, including the low ones, are sung. There is no trailing off, no compromising, no glossing over any words or notes.

I know nothing about singing by the way. Totally winging it here.

I prefer if she did it normally like she used to (LoveGame) but it does seem like she's making it her signature now. The only one I really don't like is 1000 Doves.

I always remember hearing the radio presenters laughing saying how terrible she sounds mispronouncing love in Perfect Illusion back when it was a single. And someone posted an article on here saying how in Stupid Love she still can't pronounce the word love

The one in I Want Your Love is my favourite, especially the Tom Ford Spring/Summer 2016 version. She sounds like Count von Count, and I absolutely stan.

As a non-English native with more talent for the written part than the oral part, I wouldn't even notice it if fans didn't :smh:

I'm not a native english speaker, so I only noticed Perfect Illusion being funny to you, the rest is news :laughga:
