Lucas 26,776
1. What do you like about it? I find it super addictive, I actually like the robotic vocals, Gaga's pronunciation during the verses and the way her voice sounds, the way she sings nasally during the chorus making her sound a bit childish, I think the lyrics are really cool, the outro is ear candy, "please patch the line" sounds heavenly. It has the crazy Gaga side I missed since many years. 2. Why do you think it makes a good single? I don't think it's the best choice but I'm really happy that she's not going for what's safe. 911 is a song that offers a lot of possibilities for live performances and visuals, it will be interesting to see what she does with it. The transition with Chromatica II went viral on Tik Tok aswell so that's some free promo to start with if they can use that as an advantage 3. Why do you think it should become a single now over all the other potential choices? Same than 2 tbh
TheMiddleGround 3,252
I love the song. It resonates with my psychologic state. For the past few years I stabilized trough group therapy and my adhd medication. The way its been sung and the production do something with me. Its beautiful how my mental issues got translated into a robotic song. Sometimes feeling robotic due to my medication and completely lost but it keeps me in beautiful places. I don't have an opinion on it being a single.

2School4Cool 6,434
Honestly the things that I like about it are the things you stated you weren’t a fan of. I love the beat, and I think it has some of the best lyrics of the album (which is saying a lot). “Keep my dolls inside diamond boxes, save them until I know I’m gonna drop this front I’ve built around me, oasis, paradise is in my hands. Holding on so tight to this status, it’s not real but I’ll try to grab it, keep myself in beautiful places, paradise is in my hands” is such a beautifully poetic way of describing something that’s been such a struggle for her. I also love the vocal effects. I believe vocal effects can either ruin a song or make it better depending on the song, and on 911 the effects work perfectly. I think it’s a perfect single choice because it’s the right balance between familiar and fresh. It feels nostalgic in a way, it reminds me of the Born This Way era, but it also feels bold and experimental and unlike anything she’s done. It’s like a modern twist on the classic Gaga sound. It’s also incredibly catchy, it’s been suck in my head for months. See The Best In Everyone
Butters Stotch 5,364
It's lyrically amazing. No other pop singer would dare to write and sing a song about psychosis episodes, and also make it a single. The production is fire, and the robotic voice on the verses takes it to another level. Also, the chorus is very catchy, and if she decides to add the transition to the single version... I just FIND YOUR FREEDOM IN THE MUSIC

I don't get it. What did you think I was referring to, especially considering this was under Gaga Thoughts? 58 minutes ago, HausOfAntonio said: I guess only people with taste like it, sis It's a a matter of taste, which is a different thing. 58 minutes ago, Free My Mind said: i love it for all the reasons you hate it, the good news for you is that you don’t have to listen to the song, you don’t even have to pay attention to any of its promo should it become a single. But I'm a fan, so of course I'll listen to it, watch a music video, watch live performances. I want all Gaga's endeavours to succeed even if I'm not as keen, as I know this is what makes her more likely to keep making music and have the money and resources to do what she wants. All the more reason why I want her to put out singles that I could actually envision being hits. I don't see hit potential in this. I could be wrong, but I think you lot are way off. And a flop single might cause her to stop releasing singles and the era could be over. 39 minutes ago, tmo13 said: Brilliant lyrics that are dark - yes they are dark lmao she literally says “I can’t see me cry ever again” like do y’all understand what she’s taking about?? How can you not call this song dark? I never said the song wasn't dark, nor did anyone else. It just makes me feel empty and nothing, is all. 33 minutes ago, Free My Mind said: people getting pissed off on a forum because other people enjoy a song is 2020 all over It's a Gaga fan forum where we discuss her music, positively and negatively. What did you expect? 21 minutes ago, elijahfan said: Literally this. How can any Gaga fan not enjoy this particular song is the real mystery to me. Taste is truly a fascinating thing Because I like Gaga to sing like she's a human, with real expression and I like her songs that have a lot more lyrics in them and especially a much more lyrically rich chorus. The chorus is probably the most pitiful part of the song, it sounds like it's building up to something big and then backs down into blandness. It all results in a song that I don't know what to do with, I don't know how I'm supposed to react to it.
DSK 611
The song is very well put together to portray someone who's desperate, calling for help, and singing about it as if giving up on getting better... it's like accepting one's own misery - becoming a robot, giving up one's own emotions. I believe that 'enjoying' the song actually means relating to it. And so many people have been feeling anxious, depressed or hopeless on these times. lavenderblondee 3,695
It sounds different than anything she's done. The switch from robotic vocals to the prechorus/chorus (especially the outro...) is a blast and I LOVE the lyrics. It's just extremely catchy to me. I'm not totally set on it being a single, but I am excited for a MV.
Inferno 2,880
I have become very bored of contemporary pops obsession with storytelling and middling singer/songwriter type production value and vocals. Its all very unexciting to me. Part of the reason I delved back into pop music in my late teens was the debut of Lady Gaga and her bringing this throwback electronic gaudiness to the table. I like the vocoder, I like pounding beats, I like the excess, I enjoy how Gaga the track is. Its the opposite of the very droll Jack Antonoff helmed popular music of today where production takes a backseat to whispered melodramatic lyrics from the diary of some female artist. Im over the Taylor Swifts and Lana Del Reys, im not interested in that and if I were I wouldn't be interested in Gaga. I don't want her to be that and for all the griping everyones doing here about this single im gonna go on a limb and claim that 911 is the antithesis of everything I find boring about pop music rn. Its definitely in my top 5 from Chromatica anyway. Do I enjoy when Gaga goes off vocally like a house diva in Alice? Absolutely. But I also love when she turns into robot Gaga like on 911 a la Heavy Metal Lover or Candy Warhol.

Chris Thomason 963
Relatable lyrics and great production. Gaga describes 911 as an anti psychotic drug and i think the whole song is produced around this idea. The production becomes increasingly manic like she's having a psychotic episode until the chorus (where she pops a 911) and it drops into a slower tempo and is almost monotonous, the drug calms her down again. The cycle repeats itself with the next verse and chorus and the outro is more of a plea for help/ to break the cycle. Well at least this is what i got from the song anyway
