Joanne is VOCALLY Gaga’s Best Album

I love how raspy and gravelly her voice was during the era. Sinner’s Prayer at the Dive Bar Tour was everything. 

I just wish she sung Hey Girl or Joanne (WDYTYG Piano Version) once, they’re such sweet and mellow songs contrasted to the rest of the album.

I think Chromatica is at least as good as Joanne vocally, the difference is the Joanne's production doesn't compete with her vocals as much as Chromatica's does so they shine more in Joanne. But yeah, those are her most vocally demanding solo albums. C2C is definitely more but it's not part of Lady Gaga's canon

I can't fully agree with this. I think ASIB is. Joanne is very technically sound and im not gonna argue against the talent BUT stylistically im not personally into the country undertones she puts in her vocals throughout the record (idk proper terminology so bare with me, youll get the message i think). She does this throat-y thing that she still does that i dont absolutely LOVE when she does it to pop music but i think thats just what she does now and ive accepted it lol

In fact, I know that Gaga has several very distinct vocal styles and typically they've been separated by album, but this feels like the first time we get to hear them all in one album, even in the same songs. The very nasal, pop-forward delivery from The Fame is on Rain On Me and Plastic Doll, and Replay's verses. She played around with robotic/vogue inspired spoken-word in Born This Way and ARTPOP, and that's on display with Babylon, Sour Candy, and the second verse of Alice. She's always done accented theatrical vocals, and we get that on Enigma and Sine From Above. Her powerful raspy vocals from Joanne are on the 1000 Doves piano version and Enigma as well. She experimented with her head voice a lot on ASIB, and that's also on Alice, 1000 Doves and 911. 

I think as an artist showcase, Chromatica is her best, but I understand your take as Joanne was very vocals focused.

Yep, I'll keep this brief (no point in trying to match the precision of your prose). I also like the lack of vocal production on Joanne. I love the raw sound of her voice.

Having said that, I love her vocals on Chromatica too. Yes, it's overproduced by conparison, but so what ? You play the tracks and you hear the sound, and it's gorgeous by and large.

Agreed. I think even Gaga knows considering most of the live performances had superior vocals on Million Reasons as did Joanne Piano version.

I think she sounds more "raw" on Joanne - an album I love and adore - which on tracks like Diamond Heart totally stand out and are fantastic. That can give someone the (perfect) illusion of more difficult vocals, which isn't necessarily true.

In fact, I think her vocals on both ASIB an Chromatica are actually stronger even if they sound smoother on the record.

ARTPOP is her best vocally album. people just pay dust to it because of the heavy edm production

her tone never sounded more beautiful and pleasant. she sounds like a 70s diva like donna summer in songs like fashion!, sexxx dreams, g.u.y.

I have to disagree. ASIB has way better vocals than Joanne and Chromatica is also a very demanding album vocally ! 

Of course Joanne has amazing vocals too ! But "Is That Alright", "I'll Never Love Again", "Heal Me", "Before I Cry", "Look What I Found", "Shallow", "Always Remember Us This Way", "I Don't Know What Love Is"....
