It's not that serious, the song has nothing to do with terrorism. Do you think people are not going to work/release their stuff on 9/11?

Girl the song is called 911

Releasing it on 9/11 will be perceived as nothing but disrespect to the victims of the tragedy when they play the video and it's some dark psychological pop music instead of paying tribute to the victims

It will almost feel like she's mocking the event and will be perceived as disrespectful

Instant career suicide

I don't see the problem with her releasing it on 9/11. Yeah I know the significance of the date but it shouldn't mean good things can't happen on it too. She performed at my Born This Way ball date on September 11th 2011. It didn't make anybody forget what it was the anniversary of. Why can't she release a song titled 911 on the 11th of September?

People might misinterpret the song because of its title. If the song's title is different, there wouldn't be a problem. We all know that social media is a cesspool. There are many close minded people in the internet. They don't listen whatever explanation you have. They just believe what they want to believe.

Like when she released Judas during Easter?:huntyga:

Yes, except this would be worse because it’s a terrorist attack that happened relatively not very long ago and cancel culture exists now :huntyga:

I don’t think it would be a problem of the media only. If they dragged her for that, they wouldn’t be so wrong about it. I would think it was a super bad decision too!

there are so many other days for her to release that song...

i really hope she won’t have this lack of sensitivity when she is doing 21 days of Kindness  notes. I would be so ashamed.

Also, I'm here for the amount of hate-watching that the date alone will bring to rise her numbers. I can tell you the rest of the world won't even bat an eye at the date release.

All I have to say to the haters is "There's ACTUAL problems to solve in the world, Karen."

Thats exactly the point, it is a song called 911, that has nothing to do with 911 the terrorist incident, but its being released on its anniversary. It's going to look like an incredibly tone deaf cash grab, how do people not realise that? :saladga:

At least half of Gaga's fan base is in the US, and they will care, and you could argue that all publicity is good publicity, but this is the kind of publicity that could actually end her career, and after she has worked so hard to improve her image this would be TRAGIC :saladga::saladga::saladga:

Probably not cancelled, but she will get a lot of backlash for it. But she definitely won't release it that day.

People will not notice, but I'm sure the media will blow it up, which is good....controversy is controversyz, good or bad:ohwell:
