"Louboutins" is a song recorded by American entertainer Jennifer Lopez. Lopez originally released the song as the lead single from her seventh studio album, Love?; however, after Lopez herself moved record labels to Island Records, the new lead single, "On the Floor", was released and "Louboutins" was not included on the album.

Lopez premiered "Louboutins" at the American Music Awards on November 22, 2009, where she accidentally fell on her rear-end in the middle of the performance.

Ryan Seacrest and will.i.am praised Lopez's showmanship and professionalism for swiftly recovering from the fall to continue the performance. It made its radio premiere a day later on KIIS-FM's On Air with Ryan Seacrest before being sent for radio adds on December 8, 2009.

"Louboutins" eventually topped the US Hot Dance Club Songs chart but flopped to chart on the Billboard Hot 100 as it garnered little airplay. Subsequently in 2010, Lopez announced that her ten-year partnership with Sony Music was over, making the single her last release under Epic Records. A video for the single was never filmed and further promotion of the song was cancelled.

The song have also gone from any streaming sites and on iTunes too. And never once performed live again, and J.Lo herself pretends that aong never happened. Hence, "lost" single.

It is then known, L.A. Reid was the person who responsible for that, as told by himself on his tell-all memoir, "Sing To Me", which is then agreed upon by J.Lo herself.

Excerpts in the spoiler:

Spoiler

The Jennifer Lopez project had come about quite by accident and had its beginnings on my Christmas trip to St. Barts the previous year, in 2009. Benny Medina, who managed Jennifer as well as Mariah Carey, was staying with me, and I picked up a fax intended for him. It was a video treatment for the new Jennifer single, “Louboutins.”

I went to iTunes and pulled up the song. “Benny,” I said, “did you notice that the song is number one hundred and seventy-eight and dropping? Why are you making a video on the song? This song’s a stiff.”

I was talking friend-to-friend—I had no stake in Jennifer Lopez—but I couldn’t help giving Benny a hard time. Benny asked me if I would mind telling Jennifer what I thought. She wasn’t my responsibility—I didn’t want to tell her, but Benny asked me to do it as a favor, so I found myself talking on the phone with this lady I had met once, but hardly knew.

“Baby, what are you doing?” I said. “This song, ‘Louboutins,’ you’re talking to the point-one percent of the society who can buy it. It’s way too aspirational. The brand isn’t famous enough and the song isn’t that good. And you are trying to make a comeback here. What are you doing? This is a mistake, Jennifer.”

She expressed her appreciation for my candor and she and Benny decided shortly thereafter not to make the video.

That’s interesting. I can’t believe the Love? campaign was due to start a year and a half before it ended up coming out.

This song isn’t great in my opinion, it sounds like the kind of song that wouldn’t make the album and then leak a few years after :D And the outfit is unflattering too not her best performance.

Didn’t Brandy record this before J-Lo?

Yes. But then she left Epic so the song was given to J.Lo
